Bulldogs watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 12-0 loss to Riverdale on Sunday. Riverdale took the lead on a single in the first inning.
The Bulldogs struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Riverdale, giving up 12 runs.
Riverdale opened up scoring in the first inning. #10 singled on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs.
One bright spot for Bulldogs was a single by Gaven Vaughn in the first inning.
Zac Stutzman toed the rubber for Bulldogs. He surrendered eight runs on nine hits over one inning, striking out one and walking one. Tavien Tigg, Andrew Potts, and Christopher Hedden each contributed in relief for Bulldogs.
Hedden and Vaughn all had one hit to lead Bulldogs.
Riverdale racked up 14 hits in the game. #3, #18, #2, and #21 each racked up multiple hits for Riverdale. #3 led Riverdale with four hits in four at bats.
