Bulldogs lost the lead late in a 14-6 defeat to Siegel on Wednesday. Siegel was down 6-5 in the top of the fifth inning when Petry doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
Bulldogs collected seven hits and Siegel had nine in the high-scoring affair.
Siegel got things moving in the first inning.
Bulldogs notched six runs in the fourth inning. Bulldogs big bats were led by Ty Carter, Christopher Hedden, DeMarco Miller, Gaven Vaughn, and Zac Stutzman, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Harvey led things off on the hill for Siegel. He allowed three hits and five runs over three and a third innings, striking out four.
Bulldogs racked up seven hits in the game. Carter and Hedden each racked up multiple hits for Bulldogs. Hedden and Carter each managed two hits to lead Bulldogs.
Siegel tallied nine hits. Benefield, Pearson, and Morris all managed multiple hits for Siegel. Siegel tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. McCurry led the way with two.
